I just got 8 white leghorn pullets Tuesday. they are kind of wild :( but aren't hiding from me anymore when I go out... anyways... how long do I need t keep them penned up, so they will not run off when I let them out? also should I worry about my other 7 chicken hurting them? I have a 3 acre place so there is plenty of room to get away. Thanks!

I believe the rule of thumb is to keep them confined for two weeks, so that they learn where home is.
