When will she lay another? **Update with NEW EGGS!!!**page 4

I love Subway!!! I always get the Italian BMT. I think maybe I like them so much because Subway was the very first sub sandwich I've ever had. And that was only about 10 years ago. Jersey Mikes is ok I only like their steak and cheese, but if I had to choose I'd pick Subway.

Maybe the subway down there has more pride and makes better grinders. I think in Mass anyway.....everybody thinks you owe them something.

Southern folks take pride in everything we do, including our jobs. We don't live to work, we work to live but that don't mean we don't do our jobs right. We believe in hospitality and we respect others, especially those who are our elders. I don't see why so many people take their jobs so seriously and I also don't see why there are people who want to do a half a$$ job and expect to get paid. I guess there's people like that all over the country though.

Back to the egg laying:
Boo (I kinda like that name) and Purdy are still in the nest boxes. If they ever lay, me and DH are going to have steak and eggs for supper. Boo is making all sorts of fus but Purdy is just sitting in there picking up straw and moving them around her all calm. Boo's been trying to lay for a couple of hours...it that normal?

There probably is ppl like that all over, but i think more up here because mass teaches it to the people. They throw our tax money out to all who dont wanna work for their own. There are really plenty of jobs here, just no people willing to work for it. They figure the state is willing to give it away, why work for it. Its terrible. I would move south in a minute if you had more snow:) Southern people are wicked awesome!!!!

Boo laid her egg. Now I'm waiting for Purdy to pop her first out.

Boo's egg was pitiful. Her first egg was way bigger. The color is better though and it's shaped more like an egg.

Here's Boo moving the straw in the nest box the way she wants it. She actually laid both of her eggs in the box under that top one. She went to each of the 4 boxes on that side and messed up the straw. I even have 4 more boxes in front of those 4 boxes but they like the others better.:

Here's the Colonel looking up at Boo with Purdy standing next to him:

Here's Boo's eggs. The larger one on the left was her first and the dinky lil thing on the right is her second:

I was expected a green egg because I thought EE's only laid green and true ameraucanas laid blue.

Congrats, Trisha! EE can lay any color egg, even pink, but usually a bluish-green. One of my youngest Barred Rock girls finally went into a nest and sat for awhile, but no egg. Can't be long now. She and a few others are going to be 21 weeks old Friday.

Congratulations! Looks like you are on your way to fill your frig with eggs. very pretty chickens. I still have only 2 of my girls laying (SLW & RIR), so only 2 eggs a day. Two of my RIR are fussing at me and keep going in and out of the coop. I suspect they are next. One of my RIR (Venus) that has been fussing has headed to the garage 2 days in a row to try to nest in the corners. I just get her and put her in the nest box in the coop, but she hops right out. I can't wait to get a colored egg from one of my Ameraucanas.
