I feel obligated to tell you too that now is a good time, if you see any breeds of chicks at the store that you want, to slip a few extra babies under her lol

Uhhhhh, no!!!! I wasn't ready for these babies!!! I discussed this in great depth with Miss Mocha again just yesterday as she was pecking my hands as I was putting in the enclosure. Lol Oh...and...I gave the other ladies a stern warning not to get any ideas about this Mommy crap!

Lol, good luck with that! The broody bug is very contagious and it's bad in PA this year! I have a broody hen, duck, and now 3 turkeys!

I'm about 40 minutes North West of Altoona. I know @fisherlady isn't too much further north of me and she's swamped with broodies too. But then again, she always has too many broodies lol

Adorable, congratulations! Looks like she doing a good job! I got home from running errands all morning and my broody hen had her two babies out foraging with her. I guess she had them jump the 4 feet out the side of the coop. At least we know they're tough!
