OK , now I get a clearer picture of the situation. Your chicks will be confined to the area and will not need to be using the ramp for a certain amount of time. You will see as things progress how the chicks move about. They grow FAST. :thumbsup
You may just need to place a small piece of carpet/rug over the lip for the first few days. Then they will have no problem getting in and out. In a few days you will notice they can jump higher than we can. :gig

I know...it still breaks my heart that someone dumped them. I hope I do good by them. They are such a joy to be around. I can't wait to see the babies! Of course, Mother Nature is being a twit...and snowing. Arrgghh..

How many eggs was she on? She will stay at least a couple days, or until the last egg hatches, or until she knows it isn't going to hatch.

I sure hope today was our last cold day!!
My momma duck hatched 12 of her ducklings over the weekend, then it got COLD again. Stupid weather.
