Where did they come from???

Great job on the hatch. As a rule, I generally follow new folks for three pages or until they get established, but haven't been able to walk away from your thread. I love your new adventures... And just enjoy reading the thread.
Dang...my page 3 didn't even begin this whirlwind tour of feathered bliss! Lol Glad you stayed for the next 123 pages!!!

I shouldn't tell you this.... but the majority of mine that jump on momma's back turn out to be roosters. :D

Question: How long should I wait until I remove the temporary wall and let Momma show them how to go down the ramp?

Agree a week or so is fine, but any time you go out for your coop visit, you could let her try. Some chicks are naturals, some are.... well.... not so smart. :D
But when you have time to supervise, give it a try! I actually find the sooner the better, so she has the chance to show the others, and also warn them of the dangers of tangling with her if they mess with a chick. As long as the chicks can move around well on their own, they stick close by momma early on. Later once they have tested the boundaries of how far they can get away from her, it slightly increases the danger for introductions.
