Where did they come from???

Ha I know what you mean! My parents retired to Rio Hondo and I would drive down to visit in my pickup w/the dog... One time at the checkpoint they decided to go thought the truck w/ a drug dog.. they seen my handgun where I could reach through the sliding windows and get it from the cab, and asked what it was doing back there. I said I was a woman traveling alone.. they said no why isn't it up front .. I said I was from IL and it wasn't legal.. they said I was in TX and to put it upfront LOL
So did your parents retire to a waterfront property on the Arroyo Colorado? If not I can't imagine why anyone would retire there. I am on their water system though(east rio hondo water supply) but getting there is like a 25 minute drive since the bridge is broken still 1.5 years later(it is hard getting used to the Manana lifestyle some days).

yes they did in 1990's until 2004 when my dad died.. they had a pontoon boat and he would fish every day until he got sicker... well until the shrimp farm went in.. at night they would dump into the river and the fish left.. used to see porpoises going up the river with the tides.. they were about a mile from the gulf
not a place I would pick because of the heat and algae growing every where lol.. the house water always smelt like chlorine

They do look like someone's backyard flock just took a vacation, haha, I once found mine at the local primary. I think you should just take them in then. They look like cross breeds to me
I agree they do look like someones, I would make a LOST flyer maybe? I there isn´t a response in a week, keep them. Best of luck! :woot
P.S there are plenty of really good coop designs on this site.)

They were abandoned at my work place for 3 weeks before I rescued them. Work neighbors are also commercial businesses... My work area is not a safe environment for them. After 3 weeks, I made the initiative to provide them with a safe residence...and invested some serious cash to ensure they are healthy, happy and safe birds. "IF" someone "LOST" their flock...yeah well...they should have taken better care of their animals. They will rue the day if they ever approach me on their "LOST" flock...as they will receive both barrels in regards to their lack of responsibility as a pet owner.... clowns that they are...:mad::mad:

I believe they were dumped at work...

I would say the people who "lost" them should be the ones putting up flyers at this point. Just my $0.02.

I agree with you! We had a "stray" dog arrive at our home about 20 years ago. It took 3 months to catch him. Feed him lots of hotdogs and cheetah that summer. Our daughter finally was able to sneak up and grab him while he was sleeping in an old dog house we had. He was a severely abused dog that multiple agencies said would be put down because no one would adopt because of all his issues. We kept him, named him Hobo because we live next to railroad tracts, and he lived out 10 years as a loved and pampered pet. If anyone had tried to claim him (he was a coon hound) I would have happily have run them over.
