Does it count that my dog decorates my lawn? she lays bombs all over the place, usually in places where humans like to trod. Of course she goes to great lengths to remove all chicken bombs from the same location. Now, i can tread around my yard all day long, and never step on a dog bomb. I go around with my poop patrol scooper/long handled dust pan every couple of days. Always miss one or two, and as soon as dog sees that I've done that, she goes into ultra poop mode again. Why is it that hubby CAN'T walk across the lawn without stepping on a dog bomb... and then track it all through the house before he figures that one of his shoes is not like the other????

BTW, never kiss a dog on the lips.

I know this is off topic, My dogzzzzz drop mini bombs. I do not pick them up because it is in area not walked on by most homosepians. Only when cutting grass. It is area where I do not apply fertilizer, but the grass is greenest there. No smoke.

A tire has the advantage of draining rain when in open area. Another thing I thought to add. Tire can be cut on the sidewall with a knife. Its not going to be easy, but can be done. It will give a larger surface on top also good for catching the sand from being thrown outside tire. Try cutting where the top tread meets the sidewall. Should be only polyester fabric and no steel belting at that point. A good handled knife should do the trick.

No....turning a tire inside out is worse than a root canal! I'm hoping that is not what cavemanrich is suggesting! Lol

I think she was just suggesting cutting off the side wall. If you have one, a reciprocating saw is an awesome choice of tool.

That wouldn't be too bad of a task... I remember making flowers out of old tires (like in my pic) as a kid...and to get that effect, you had to turn tires inside out. Major suckage!!!

If using it for chickens, I'd cut those flappy dingy points off. But, I'm impressed with the concept of using tires in that fashion. HOW DO YOU TURN THEM INSIDE OUT?

Further question... When using a recip saw to cut the side wall off a tire, does it cut through any metal? And, how rough is the remaining edge of the tire? I'm thinking that the chickens, being the knuckleheads that they are, would spend way too much time picking little bits of rubber off the cut edges. Brainstorming about a way to encase the cut edge to make it less of a chick magnet. Cut garden hose would be too small in diameter, I think. Any other ideas??

Turning them inside out is no easy task...manhandle them...pulling, twisting, more pulling...cussing a blue streak...
