Ugghhhh....not sure what all you folks are talking about...butt hygiene...olive oil and rubber gloves...Sounds like monsters to me!!!

Good for you!I'm 61 y.o. and have NEVAH trimmed a beak! Toe nails, spurs, and made a few bleed. But, never a beak!
My 1+ month old chick, Eve, has the longest, sharpest beak and nails. I did take a tiny bit off them so not quite so dangerous. She really is a lap baby though and gets along well with the 2-1/2 week olds.
