My advice for anyone starting out in the work force is don't get hyper focused on one or two jobs/companies. Apply for lots and lots of entry level jobs. The more jobs you apply to the higher your chances of landing one. And you don't know what you'll like and what you don't like until you do it.

Thanks! Good advice. I forgot about potentially lifting dogs and materials lol I was thinking about going back to school but I’m not sure. I don’t really have the money atm but maybe soon. I have an associates in behavioral health which is somewhat helpful for animals but I wanna go for either animal science or the 4 year psych. Idk.

I'd stick with Psych just because that can domino into many career fields where animal science is one specific pigeon-hole. My degree (Psych,) is only very distantly related to what I do but animal science would be a stretch I couldn't defend. There was a post about work from home jobs... Corporate America has realized the real estate benefits of allowing work from home and I find remote jobs actually very easy to find. I'm remote and go into the office maybe twice/year. Love it.

Thanks! This is great advice because I wouldn’t have thought of that. Plus I heard animal science is way over saturated/flooded with people anyway? I might have to look for a remote job. That might be easier for me since I get anxiety with too many new people and stuff. But then again I need to get out of the house and socialize so idk.

I work at a grocery store in the marine dept. we shop large grocery orders for vessels going offshore.

I don’t have a job yet, but when I turn 18, I want to become a chicken breeder. I also will be taking care of an apple orchard and a Christmas tree farm, and possibly making fishing lures for my dad’s bait shop.

Breeding chickens is literally the only thing I care about. I dont think I would make enough money from it though
