Where to buy something to read humidity???

A lot of home repair stores are clearing out the summer merchandise for the winter goods so you should be able to find stuff on sale soon. There are so many different types out there now at many prices and some work better than others. The ones in the reptile section at pet stores work good, but they can take longer to start working. They will take a while to show a sudden drop in humidity. I have a good one my husband bought a while ago for the house. It's about an inch thick and approx. 3x4in. It shows the temp and humidity and shows true withing a minute or two. He paid $15 for it at Sears about 6 years ago. Just try calling around. At Sears they're with the air conditioners and home air purification thingies(technical term

I have an Acurite thermometer along with a digital hygrometer/thermometer combo and between the two I figure I get an accurate picture of what's going on in there. The Acurite came along with the incubator when I borrowed it and I paid about $17 for the digital at Fred Meyer... I don't kno wif they have Fred Meyer's outside of the pacific NW though... It was originally $40 and marked down to $17 so I got lucky on that one.

Found my hydrometer! We ran to the store after dinner and hunted all over the store for the darn thing. We couldn't find anything under $40 so we just gave up and then, ta dah, we stumbled upon one for $6.50! Yeah!!! Thanks everyone for letting me know where you got yours...at least if I need a different one in the future I know where to find them at all kinds of places.
