Which breed should I get from these four breeds?

Thanks both of you I have heard some people in america call what I call a pekin a cochin what do you mean? Thanks lolly I like silkies but I think I need to look into it further

I am still open to suggestions from anyone else

Thanks that was a helpful I thinking am going to get I faverolle standard 1 brahma standard but I am not sure on the bantam what is your altimeter favourite bantam?

My personal favorite bantams are the Silkies (I especially love the Black Silkies). They are so adorable, sweet, and friendly. However, I've had other bantams that I like really good as well; cochin or pekin bantams (breeders still debate whether they are the same bantam or not), Mille Fleur D'uccles, and Silver Sebrights.

Pekin and Cochin bantams are virtually identical. Uk breeders say that the Cochin bantam is higher in the leg and shank and has less carriage tilt that the Pekin bantam. Also that Cochins do not display the breast apron that Pekins do, but otherwise the two are identical. In the US, the distinction between the two is not typically recognized, and the two of them are usually regarded as the same breed. For all practical purposes where the chicken farmer is concerned, they are the same bird.

Don't you like the gold laced Sebrights. I have one of those and it is really pretty. I do think the silver are pretty also and probably would have gotten one of those if one had been available.

I'm sure I would like the Golden Laced Sebrights, I just never had any of them. The only Sebrights that I ever had were the Silver Laced.

I wonder if there is a difference in the two. My golden is such a skittish bird. The other birds single her out and pick on her so it's no wonder. She is getting more trusting of me and I read that it takes a while for them to become friendly. She is only around 5 months old. I can't wait for her first egg. I'm going to start spoiling her more. I read that they like spaghetti and cheese. I'm going to give her some today. I am also going to put her a higher up roost. The other birds fight her on that too.

I have 3 leghorns that are not very nice especially one. She gets mad if another hen gets in her nest so she think it's hers anyway. She doesn't let anyone else get near the food and my little Sebright get's bullied by all of the chickens. She has to fight to get up on the roost every night. I have six different areas to roost and there's plenty of room. I've heard the white leghorns have better dispositions. Anyway they bully all the chicken and all the chickens bully the Sebright. I guess I'm not a lucky chicken person.

Thank you for all your input I think I am going to get a silkie the only thing that deterred me was the constant broody ness but I guess I will just have to bream it when I don't want/need chicks! Thanks again

Even the White Leghorns are high strung and flighty. That's why I don't have them anymore; I traded them in for Sex Link hens. In cold weather areas, Sex Links will outlay the Leghorns anyway, and they have a much calmer and better disposition. I get 6 eggs per hen per week (occasionally 7) from my Black Sex Links and, unlike the Leghorns I've had, they are friendly birds.
