She's one of the sweetest mama's though and so strong. She was attacked by a racoon a few months ago defending an earlier clutch

Mama Sug, why the sad face? She's better now. Just glancing at her, you couldn't tell how bad she had it. And she managed to raise one baby from that clutch and now has 5 new ones! Gonna take more than some nasty raccoons to knock her down for long

Sorry, it just reminded me of my one hen that got killed by a raccoon earlier this spring. I’m glad she’s okay.

Though I'm not 100% confident still if she has full hearing or not. She certainly doesn't act hearing impared, but a tooth or nail did go into her ear and drew blood, so I'm not sure

Friends cleaning out his freezer and is bringing me some alligator. Yayy fried alligator tomorrow. Man that's gonna be good. Battered in some good fish batter. Maybe make a meal with hushpuppies baked beans and potato salad. Mines probably gonna turn into a dressed poboy

No worries. We caught and dispatched the raccoon…Speaking of which, a lot of them are dying here right now due to distemper.
