Who else is waiting the impossible wait?

Oh my! I just read a good portion of the postings in this thread and can't stop laughing! I wondered if it was only me pacing around in the mornings during "the impossible wait", wondering if 'today will be the day' the girls start to lay..

I told my husband it is like being a kid that runs downstairs to the Christmas tree every day until Christmas just PRAYING that there will be a present or two beneath it.

Urbanchickeroo, it is, it is! It's like getting a present! And now that they are laying I'm that spoiled kid who is looking for the next present when I only get one that day

Today when we got home we went to the coop and got the squat for the first time, and from 3 of them to boot.

It's when they assume a mating position.

We try to touch them every day. Some seek it, some allow it, and some avoid it. When we reached for them they squatted and spead their wings a little. When we pet them and scratch them above their tails, the curled upwards head and tail. They seemed to enjoy the scratch.

No eggs yet, but I'll be uncovering the nesting boxes this weekend.

Whoo hoo I saw the squat and I'm positive it was the squat because the way her wings where positioned and she sang the egg song after!!! No eggs yet but the wait just got way more exciting!!!

My Chicks are still young.....I will do my best to wait til they are ready! But right now I'm happy watching them grow and eat and play! Cause Soon they will be large Hens in Charge!!!
