Who else is waiting the impossible wait?

My house we are playing the wait game as well. Course I couldn't tell you for sure how old my girls are but I am guessing them to be around 15 weeks. And I just added chicks to the bunch as well~ but I don't want the peepers to grow up too fast

I am guessing the ten in the pen will start to lay late Aug or early Sept and the peepers won't give me eggs until Christmas.

I don't even know how old mine are. We bought them on a whim (those inner children!) and then the focus was getting them out of the ferret cage in our guest bedroom and into a coop. I think they were about 8 weeks when we got them the 2nd Saturday in June, which makes them about 14 weeks, so we have time to wait. I am just hoping we can get them into their new coop prior to laying. And then is the big excitement when I see our first green egg!

Patience is a virtue I don't enjoy at all.

I have 5 18 week old and 6 15 week olds and the wait is killing me, the 18 week olds have had very red combs for a couple weeks now so I'm just sitting and tapping my foot as I wait for them to lay... What the hay!!!!!

I'm waiting, too!!! I think my chicks are 20 weeks old today ~ looks like the straw has been moved around in the nesting boxes, soooo... maybe this week! This is the week that my rooster began to "get frisky", so maybe the hens will start laying! LOL

my six golden comets are 16 weeks and have been squatting for almost a week so hopefully an egg will appear soon

We had an Easter Hatch so we are at 16-ish weeks. They do not even look close so we are not holding our breath or anything. But we have some older laying hens so the stress is not so bad.

My girls are right around 18 weeks and nothing. I keep hoping, but I've decided they're gonna be late August layers and that's that. I figure they can always prove me wrong, but I'm not expecting them too.
