Who else plays an instrument?

I don't know if it qualifies as a hobby, I played Tuba in High School and College, then was an Army Band Director for 36 years. My last 8 years were great as I served as the Senior Staff Band Officer for Reserve Bands and got to visit almost every State and U.S. Territory doing assistance visits to over 54 Military Bands.

I play the banjo and I try to play the piano

I just started with the piano 2 months ago and I am trying to learn to play the 'First Arabesque' by Debussy. It is quite difficult

, but I am having fun.

Ahhh, bringing back great memories!!! Ahhhh.... Band geeks! Ahhh band camp. Ahh band trips..... We were top in the country at that time! We also took international trips, including England where we played in the London New Years Parade and symphonic/jazz bands at Wembley.

I played brass instruments from the 2nd grade until after high school. In high school, I played the french horn in two symphonic bands, the trumpet in both a concert band and in a jazz band, the mellophone in marching band and in jazz band.....and I had my own french horn trio that played parties and did charity work for the Salvation Army. After high school, I played the trumpet for the American Legion Drum Corp.

I miss those band years.... what fun! I still have my trumpet... I should pick it up again. I WISH I still had my french horn. I'd like to learn how to play piano. I've tried learning guitar, but it hurts my fingers.

Now that I'm an old lady, I probably wouldn't remember how to read music anyway!!!

I started with Horn, then taught myself Trumpet in grade 8. I like the challenge when playing the Horn, but the Trumpet always plays a more interesting part then the Horn.

Theres not many of us! In a school of 750, theres only 2 Horn players in my band.

Try to play, the piano, guitar, banjo, violin, and the recorder.

I play a little piano, and some recorder. I'm considering learning how to play the trumpet from my dad.
It's sad, I can play 'An ordinary couple', but not Mary Had A Little Lamb...
