This is Tweaky (parrotlet) peering from his perch on a towel. He likes to poop on the towel, adjoining wall, and occasionally the nearby shower curtain. He knows lots of words and various whistles! He likes apples, but only red apples, not green ones.

I LOVE Parrotlets.. Cuteness overload.

Thank You! He is pretty much the boss of the house. I got him when he was baby. He is in my profile pic as well.
We had the chicks in the house when we first got them & it only took Levi a week to start chirping like a chick ... LOL

I think I already mentioned to you that a U2 was on my short list. U2, CAG & Amazon made the short list. I think I picked the right breed for my family. For the most part he is pretty quiet. Needy as hell, but quiet. He only gets loud when I am on the phone.

I would love to have a house pigeon someday, but I just don’t have the time for one right now (my pigeons currently live outside in an aviary).

My sister had Love Doves at one point & she loved them.

I have a cockatiel named George. He's 18 and can whistle and talk. I'm teaching him to whistle the theme from Andy Griffith currently but it's hard because I can't whistle!

Cockatiels are a darling. I don't recommend you get an African gray unless you've made a decision to commit yourself to that animal. They don't do well with changes of environment; of routine; even of certain clothes. Once they get into that neurotic stage they will start to pull their feathers much like a human chewing on their fingernails. They're very sensitive and not good long term pets.
If you going to get a parrot next time around get something like an Amazon.. they're pretty hardy; they do well with changes; and they're not as neurotic.

Neurotic, needy all the same. My Levi has severe Separation Anxiety. He must be with the family always.

If I did have to get another bird I would probably get another cockatoo or a conure

I've tried several times. After he freaked out & got tangled up in it, I was done.
Haven't tried in several years.

I missed him in your profile pic but see him now! I have heard that the African Greys are one of the smartest breeds with large vocabularies. I wish we could hear him doing the chick chirps!

Yea, I don't have any videos of that. I do have some videos of him talking. I'll see what I can find.
