Thank you, John! Yes, we will use that approach with the percentage. Makes it sound just as crazy as it really is.
DH has applied for an increase in disability percentage. Naturally, he will have to jump through hoops to get it and hopefully, he won't be denied. If he gets an increase, that will help out somewhat. Again, it's petitioning the government, trying to force them to get something right for a change. He will take SS in just over two years at 62 and that may help,
if it's still there or they haven't decided it's not a good thing to allow anyone to be able to get it at 62 and push it back out of reach!
Looking forward to some relief from
somewhere, for cripes sake! I don't want to leave my home we've improved on since we moved here. It was a jungle with no outbuildings. Now, it's a working mini-farm with orchards and raised bed garden and coops, etc, etc, etc.
I want my five acres, darn it!
Dennis, I know you were kidding. I know it. I just know it, LOL. My pal, Ellie, *also "Ellie* on BYC, lives near Redding. Her taxes are pretty darn high. Honestly, it's not so much an increase as such a huge increase
all at once. And the fact that it's based on nothing except need for revenue, not fair market value, as is supposed to be the case.
