Who is pipping and waiting right now??

Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain :

OMG... they are adorable!!! I want some!!! LOL!
Congratulations momma!

I couldn't see into the Button Quail eggs at all. The Bobwhite was easy, since it was white, but even with a really strong light I couldn't do it. Very frustrating! We didn't get any pips today, so I'm thinking they're done. Wednesday was the last day according to the calendar, so I'm waiting til tomorrow, but after that we're done. I need to get the incubator ready to loan out for a homeschool project.

Well Crazy Larry and crew got 3 more siblings to play with in the brooder. And number 9 is drying off in the incubator as I write. I'm rather pleased with a 9 of 14 hatch.

Hehe oh boy....I still have the 15 other quail eggs, 14 mixed duck and chicken eggs in the incubator I bought from Julie, in which all but one developed so I'm looking at having to set up fourth brooder... and here I am buying...9 pheasant eggs on top of that. My sportsman is in heavy use right now lol.

And I thought mine were done, after not having ANY activity at all yesterday. I pulled all of the eggs out and was cleaning the incubator when I heard Peep peep peep!

I put them back in, and there's another one drying off...

They should have been done days ago!! Not complaining, though! Seems a little weak, so I'm watching it - not sure if the chilling will do it in or not.

Ok, I think I am about done. I have:

(5) Serama
(7) Swap Eggs (I thing Cochin mixed with silkie??) (two look very rough though and may not make it)
(1) Bantam Faverolle
(1) Buff Silkie (Sizzle)

I put the 5 serama under the broody to replace her eggs. None of them hatched and I opened them and the chicks were not fully formed so must have died at some point in the process. She is happy to have them. I have the rest in here. Not sure on the cochins, the eggs all said Cochin but some obviously have silkie due to the black legs/feet and 5 toes. So probably some at least are a mix, not sure though. Have to ask swap partner.

Here is one picture for now.

Hope you enjoy.

Oh girl... :aww I'm sorry! But that's probably for the best. You will come back to a hatcher full of babies!!! How cool is that?!?! Go chickies!!!

LOL! I don't think I could get away with the Daddy Day-care excuse at work lol. And here I am at my shop wanting to close to go take a peak at the chick and everytime someone else comes in to buy ducklings or chicks. Hehe well that is more money for chicks and eggs!

Marie, that serama chick reminds me of a Yorkie... the color, and the curling in the feathers... very cute. I hope the two "rough" ones make it.

Ace, what do you do? Too bad you couldn't take the hatcher to work with you! LOL!

I work for Home Depot and then on my days off I run my own small livestock store. I wish I could keep my incubator at the shop but the electric bill would probably kill my profits since it's zoned buisnes.

LOL!!! I could not work for Home Depot. That is like putting me in a candy store!!!

I think I have bought enough stuff to own stock in them...

And to have a small livestock store on the side?? Heaven.

Wait... isn't that what I'm doing anyway??? Bwahahahahaha!
