Who is pipping and waiting right now??

Well, so far, I've had no eggs cracked or broken that I'm aware of. The method must be working pretty well.

One Silkie pipped and OUT already. I'm waiting for more to pip......this one came out with a bang. Luckily I went and checked for pips and there she/he was kicking at the end of the shell like the dickens. So he broke the "string" and he started bleeding. So I put a soft cloth on it with just a little pressure for a few seconds and it stopped. Now she/he is just laying there. Think she'll be alright. I wonder why she pipped and I have no other pips yet. Of course I screwed the date up....the hatch should be tomorrow the 25th. So I won't get alarmed if I get no other pips until after midnight. They will probably start pipping and zipping as soon as I go to bed. Guess I better stay up a while.

The little black silkie first born was dead this morning in the bator. Waiting on more pips from the others. I figured out that TODAY is the 21st day. So wish me luck. I don't feel so positive this morning after finding my first ever black silkie dead.

All 4 of my eggs hatched, 3 McLean Game & 1 Polish.They all seem healthy.How long should I leave them in the bator?Their all dry & fluffy.

Morning all congrats to all with new babies. Sorrow to all that lost babies (tears for your loss ChicknLittle).

I woke to another blue orp out and about in the bator, that make for the 4th baby out and 1 pip. That leaves 6 hanging out trying to drive me crazy.

Day 18 for my Barred Rock x Blue Ameraucana egg, all alone in the bator. My Zane with Charlotte, surprisingly fertile after about three weeks away from the rooster and a day or two in the fridge.
