I bought some new pots and pans from Sam's about 3 years ago and gave away the Reverware I had had for 30 years.

I wish I still had it. Maybe I need to hit some goodwill stores...

I have All-Clad ones, which I received for a wedding gift from my MIL (I wouldn't have that kind otherwise -- pricey!!). I must say, though, you get what you pay for. I love them; they cook things nicely and are easy to clean.

I hosted a pampered chef party last year the week they released their new heavy bottomed stainless steel pans so I got them for 60% off. I love them if I burn something on hot water and a paper towel takes it off.
I hate non stick and only have 2 pans for eggs that are non stick

I have a little WearEver Cook & Strain Stainless Steel set, that I just love. I have a giant stainless steel stock pot with no name on it, some All-Clad stainless, Calphalon and a bunch of T-Fal. They're ok. I don't like my mom's Le Creuset.

I really like that little WearEver set, though! Even though it wasn't expensive, it has nice thick bottoms and cleans up great! It's really shiny on the inside and I think that's why it cleans up so well. The only bad thing, is that the lid handles can get hot, when you're cooking.

I love my cast iron skillet. I use it the most but I have a set of stainless copper bottom pans I like. Just remember....you really get what you pay for when it comes to pans. All clad are your best stainless sets. Check ebay!! I got my $200 set for $70. Can't beat that.

I've given up buying sets of pans. They're too expensive and I don't use all of them. Everything in my kitchen is mix and match these days. Some Le Creuset, some All-Clad, a slew of Lodge cast iron and one surprisingly excellent saute from the Wolfgang Puck collection. I prefer to avoid brands that contain a famous name, but I saw that saute in the TJ Maxx and couldn't say no, it's just so heavy. TJ Maxx is a great place to bargain shop for cookware.

I have a set of Martha Stewart stainless steel pots that I got when KMart here closed. I love them and the price was great.

Great info here! My last hold-out on toxic cookware was my little non-stick skillet for my morning eggs. I found an enameled cast iron skillet at Homegoods for $15!!! and enjoyed it for a while....I had to get used to pre-heating it for 10-15 minutes for it to be non-stick.

Then I found a little bitty Griswold cast iron skillet in an antique store, also for $15, and it is FANTASTIC! Pre-heat for a minute or two and it is completely non-stick. It beautifully cooks two or three eggs and I can clean it by wiping with a paper towel.

I have a large Lodge brand cast iron skillet and it is decidedly not very non-stick, but I have a Griswold griddle that I got a few years ago at a tag sale that is very non-stick, great for french toast and quesadilla's and grilled cheese, etc.

No more teflon fumes in my house!

Now I am scouring the antique shops for a Griswold dutch oven....
