I've been hunting most of my life. My dad used to take me with him to hunt pheasant, geese, ducks etc. It wasn't until 4 years ago that I got my first deer. It was a beautiful doe that I took at 73 yards. I don't know who was more excited....me or my husband. It was nice to be able to help "fill" the freezer with meat. I really felt like I contributed and was really proud of myself. Besides that, I enjoy being outside. There's nothing quite like being out in God's country listening, seeing and smelling what he has created. Sometimes that's the best therapy. For me it knocks me down a few and reminds me of what really is important. Simple things leave the biggest impressions.
