There is a lot of conflicting advice on BYC, so we newbies may seem to be disagreeing to some. I’ve found that I have “latched on” to the advice of certain experienced BYC mentors. For example- I’ve taken the advice not to supplement light, as it feels more natural. But you’ll get a 50/50 split on that.

There are lots of ways to do chickens and most of those will work to some degree. One's situation, goals and climate will determine and change what the best approach is.
