Who's heard about LoLa--She's a Sassy Chicken-- and is voting for them?!

Hey Everybody. I just wanted to let you know that 8 hours remain to vote today. Use every device in the house. Make today really count and add up. For Chickens. I just love my flock. Today the snow warmed down a bit and we cleared a path around the yard and up to the house. A little "treat trail" if you will. and watching my flock have free will to walk out of their run and come up to the house and return to the safety of their coop on our small acreage made me smile. Sadly we know not all chickens have that. What a message this commercial would be wouldn't it? Our food would be so much healthier for it.

Anyways....

here is a little message from the Locally Laid Egg Company Facebook site and in reality this contest...win or lose...has brought light to the overall picture even if it was a short spot light. Fingers are crossed.

>>www.VoteLoLa.com<< On this, the LAST DAY of voting, we want to thank everyone who's diligently clicked on behalf of our poultry athletes. Of course, we also have enormous gratitude to Intuit for giving our small farm this ENORMOUS opportunity to talk about hens on pasture. As LoLa would say, BAWK!

Special Shoutout to Sourland, Baymule, Chickenboy, Goose4, Sarah, BoxofPens, Abserbean and a I know a couple others on the previous pages that voted that I cant see on the reply page and if I backward to check I'll lose my message...anyhow thanks to all...you know who you are because if you signed in and said you voted and bumped this thread...bumped if for LoLa I gave you an ovation. No matter how many times you told me you did and it was the same message I gave ovations. I'd give you a real ovation anyways. Thanks all!

They are saying on the Facebook page results will not be know until the end of January...but hey...that's almost to the Superbowl...I'm not sure that could be right...but anyways...I'll post back and let you all know in case somebody doesn't catch it otherwise.

Go LoLa!

Aww...thanks Baymule. Your enthusiasm spurred me on, to be sure. It will be kind of fun to see if our votes made it work out, won't it?!

~Best to you....

Here is a great Blog Post from Locally Laid Egg company regarding the commercial. They are being flown out to New York City to receive their news on whether they got the commercial or not on January 31st. Sounds a bit positive if I do say so myself.

I told them to pack lots of Black and power walking shows and they'll fit right in in the Big Apple. I'm so excited for them...Truly hope they win for their wonderful pastured eggs and for loved chickens everywhere....

I was so sure they were the winners.... But this message was on LoLa's Facebook page just a short while ago.

Friends, I hate to tell you this… We didn’t win the 30-spot on the Super Bowl. (Again, sincere congrats to GoldieBlox for that.)

Sure, we wish LoLa could strut her sassy self in the 3rd quarter, but it’s okay. Honestly, it’s much better than that.

We ran a fun campaign and are incredibly proud of the stir you kicked up trying to Hail Mary a chicken into the world’s largest football spectacle. An...d you did an impressive job. The PR firm working with Intuit says that Locally Laid got media impressions that number in the billions – that’s billions with a B. That’s a whole lot of attention for a retro egg, a pasture-raised bird, and the little company trying to do her right. Plus it was good for Duluth, good for Minnesota and good for farmers raising Real Food everywhere.

You should be proud of yourselves getting us named Runner Up. (More to come...)

Whelp...we gave it our all. And there will be some other cute commercials i'm sure...but I would have been just a wee bit more interested in a LoLa commercial. I have to say.

Plus they'll get to ring the bell down at the Stock Exchange NASDAQ Monday morning.

Thanks for all your efforts in trying to get LoLa on the big stage. But with the attention they did get, there was still a difference made for them ....I'm sure.

happy chickening all.
