Well, if I lived in Michigan between L. Superior and L. Michigan I'd probably be bellyaching about winter too. Too much winter is as bad as too much summer. Right now I'm trying to make it to fall and cooler temps. I go out after I get home from work to feed and water the flock and tend to the run and coop. After just 15 minutes or so I come back in from 95+ temps and I am soaking wet from head to toe. It looks like someone threw me in the creek. And that's after 6 pm. The humidity down here in central NC is brutal. I've spent a lot of time out in Phoenix, AZ in the summers when the temps regularly hit 119 F and it's nowhere near as bad as this. At least it's a dry, dry heat. But add 90% relative humidity and you can't sweat enough to cool off. Walking outdoors is like having someone throw a hot wet wool blanket over you and try to smother you. No fun!!!

I'm ready for it to cool down a little... notice I said a little. 70 would be nice. I'm not allowed to use the oven even in the evening now... I bake bread once a week at least, but not right now!
BUT fall means school. Yuck.

I am so over summer, and here I won't really have fall until after October. I did get exicted the other day to see holloween candy at the dollar store.
