Why Are People Mean?

Had a person send a message to my boss telling them that I had told them to never return to the store again with their child.
Which was lie.
This was supossed to have happened on Sunday. Only 2 of us were working that day.
My bosses believed me. They said it was probably someone who took offense to something and blew it all out of proportion.

Keep the security cameras on. People, lie, cheat, and come back and do it again. Working in retail ain't easy. Gotta smile when you really want to disembowel them.

Hmmm. If it had been me, it probably would have been true. I have been known to do exactly that.

Cassie after talking got more details. I remember the child. Well behaved and no problems with any customers.

redhen one of the troublemaking co-workers quit yesterday. I'm wondering if the complainer is a friend of her's. The co-worker was ticked off on Saturday. She liked to hide around corners and listen to conversations anybody was having.

Ya it does sound like someone is trying to mess with you. That stuff just ruins the day....

Only one more troublemaker left. Boss told me they were cleaning house. When we were talking outside yesterday they told me they were glad that person was gone since they caused trouble. After they asked I mentioned that there was only one more person that should leave too. Told them why. How this person on a huge frieght day only worked on 1 aisle and only got it half way done within 3 hours while 4 of us finished the rest of the store in that same amount of time. I ended up finishing that half aisle after I got back from lunch.

If my boss had not asked I would have never mentioned it to them. The rest of us are sick of having to do the work this person pretends to do. I was just going to keep my mouth shut and continue with doing my job. Guess I'm a bt relieved that my boss asked me.

I know these 2 wanted me gone, but one of them is now gone instead.

Pretty sad when someone is trying to get someone fired because they can out work them.

The way some people treat others is just unbelievable. Let's see, how does that go? "...where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice..." People that act like that must be consumed with jealousy and selfishness. For your sake, here's hoping their replacements are on the nicer side.

I had a customer do that once. She was mad that day because I had to fill in for a sick person and was overbooked. I was running behind. She actually threatened me, but later called corporate and said I made threats against her.
