Why are they getting egg-cited!

So I have a EE hen who has been laying for a couple weeks. I also have 3 more that are squatting, with my 2 blues acting like they want to lay. Well this morning while my EE was in the nesting box trying to lay her egg the 2 blue rocks are I'm assuming singing the egg song while in the coop with her. Are they trying to encourage her to lay? They all want the same box, even the blues lay in it like they are nesting.
 
Ah, yes, the Raucous Cacophony!
Newly laying pullets an make a real racket around onset of lay!
I had a group one year that was so loud I had to close the house windows so I could work on the phone.

Put a fake egg in every nest to 'spread the love'.
May not quiet them down much but will alleviate the traffic jam.

Both my big mouths laid their first egg yesterday, the loudest one laid the biggest lol.
