Im convinced that waterfowl like to use found objects as fashion statements. I had a pic of hay bale twine just laying around in the yard and it was tied in a small circle ( but couldnt tighten) and one day I went out and saw one of my ducks sporting around wearing it around hear neck like a necklace and looking all stuck up and special becuase she had jewelery. So I chased her down and took it of her and just threw it back down somewhere and didnt really think anything of it and the next day or so she found it and was wearing it again.
And then I buy bread in bulk for my birds and I goose wearing an empty bread bag around his neck with his head and neck stuck through a hole that had been ripped in the bag. And then I have found one walking around with his head and neck all the way inside of a bread back and he couldn see where he was going.
And I have also had hens that have been chased around by the monsterous wal mart bag that they got caught around their feet. And that is hilarious to watch.
