Why is my duck laying again

I have 10 Muskovy ducks - 2 drakes - 8 females. There hasn't been eggs for several months which is the same as last year here. (Eastern Ontario, Canada). Last week I noticed an egg, and there has been one every day since. Don't know which duck or when but it is frozen solid by the time I find it. She is outside in the run every day. Has she not realized that the temperature has not been above freezing for weeks, and we are buried under snow? I'm not complaining, just puzzled.

I dont know if they care about the temperature that much when it comes to when they start laying. I think its pretty normal she probably just noticed the days are getting longer and started a lil earlier than the other girls.

Yeah they will stay good for a year frozen

As long as the egg did not freeze hard enough to crack, just let it warm up. You most likely won't be able to tell it from one that has never frozen.
