Why is one of my chickens molting in July?

Some like leghorns have a very different pattern of feather replacement which actually renders them essentially flight less for a month or so. By flightless I mean not trimmed out flight.

Thanks for the info. One of the other older girls is a brown leghorn.

I feed 20% protein Flock Raiser all year to everyone, and it's worked way better than the 16% layer feed.
