I have 6 leghorn....6months old & NO EGGS! This is so frustrating.

I've been giving them laying crumbles to no avail. I thought they'd be laying by now.
My other assorted 5 month old pullets aren't laying either. I've been patient.....I need eggs!

lol sorry bout that! and i do agree with new2chooks, it is better that they are laying late instead of early. early laying can cause some kind of disease idk. you'll get eggs sooner or later!

Is it really hot where you are? If so, that could be playing a large roll as to why they are not laying. Once it cools down, you'll probably see some eggs.

U may try some high protein feed to get em jump started. Oyster shells for strong egg shells. Always look for plump bright combs or improvement in the quality of the comb. Total non-layers are few and far between. Poultry punch or yogurt may jump start their bellies. Parasites as mites or lice will delay them from laying. Deworming may help also.

mine are nearing 5 months and all but one of them doesnt even have a red comb yet...dont feel bad...stupid leghorns are holding up to their reputation ;-)

Scratch should not be used as a feed, fyi - it's to be used as a treat, only. The corn in it heats them up. So, I'd avoid it. And don't feed oyster shell until they begin to lay...then, feed free choice. Yes, it's better if they begin later!! I just posted something on this today:

Patience! It will be rewarded, I'm sure!!
