Why would somebody SHOOT my chicken??? *Update - Found a Bullet!!!!!*

OMG...Looks like we just found a bullet!!! We looked from the road and found the most likely place they were shooting from, and realized they were shooting in the direction of the house, coop and garage (GRRRRRRRRR....). So we walked closer to the coop and found a spot on the coop. I think the bullet is still in the side of the coop! We can see something shiny in there! I called the sheriff's office and they're supposed to have the deputies call me. I'm so excited!

A different deputy called me back and said they will come back out here tomorrow to see it and take pictures in the daylight. He made it sound like if the bullet isn't in the chicken, then it might not be able to be linked to this crime, but we'll see what "my" deputies say tomorrow.

If the bullet is in your coup there's been a crime committed , related to the hen or not !

Exactly what I'm thinking! The bullet is in the wall of my chicken coop! Whether it was the same person who shot my chicken or not, the real crime here is firing a deadly weapon onto my private property. I think it's pretty obviously connected to the chicken shooter...they'll see that when they come here tomorrow. I can't wait to show them!

Please call your local newspapers and or news crews about this!! I just have this overwhelming feeling that your experience hasn't
been an isolated incident. Even if you want to stay as anonymous as possible to stay safe please get the word out there so other folks can keep
their eyes peeled. It is possible that other people in neighboring communities have had the same thing happen but maybe didn't have the
presence of mind to report it and follow through the way you did and their info could make a difference in catching these 2bit slimes.
