ALSO wild muscovies do not reach adult coloration until after they are over a year old.

I read that. I had also read that they didn't reach sexual maturity till then.
So, just because there is a bit of white speckling on the head/neck, it may not indicate whitehead & may not spread far. TKS!​

Now will wild Muscovys breed with domestic Muscovys? What do they look like?

i like the black crauncling too. i am not to keen on it in the first place. i hope my little (big) boy gets some black. but i have no idea how you know that. i would guess genetics? i've never seen his parents. they are about 3 months and still no crauncling yet. i can see a bit of red in their faces, when do they start to get it??

Is yours a wild muscovy or a cross?

to my knowledge they are purebred muscovy and domestic. i got them at the end of october at a flea market. i pretty much rescued them from dying, being eating, disease, malnutrition, feet problems, etc. they don't take care of the poor animals. ducks are in whire cages. some weren't able to walk. it was sad. i took the healthiest ones because i do not know how to care for ducks. the first one i bought from there died a week later, but i blame food.
