Oh the cheesecake was yummmy

I had a fabulous dinner with Lori, her DH and the too tall Miss C. I had a great time with C this morning chatting with my coffee in hand, taking pictures of the birds...and trying to get the Queen of Diva chickens , Sophie to hold her naked neck still for a picture.

That Showgirl is a mess! She was chasing off all of young silkies that came too close to her and attempted to stand in her presence.

The silkies (yes plural...gosh I am such a sap) are beautiful and Cheyenne is overjoyed with the little black silkie. The little partride is just adorable too.

Ms DeDe tried escaping from her temporary pyramid in wegotchickens' garage and then tried to escape the dog crate here at the house. Cheyenne is determined to spoil her rotten before her quarantine period is up and DeDe seems very resigned to resisting this attention and affection junk. Now to get my pictures off the camera and uploaded.

*sigh* Am I eternally destined to get strange looks from the neighbors when I cuddle my chickens, simply because they don't get it? Oh what I wouldn't give for a weekend with folks like Cyn, Cetawin and Beth, who "get it" and understand the need for me to simply bury my face in the neck hackles of a great big beautiful roo!!!

Y'all are so darn lucky! I hope y'all know that!

I was hoping to see a picture of Isaac. My favorites are Isaac and Ivy. If I go chicken-nabbing, that's who I'm going for.

You bet Kathy, I will swipe the one in the pictures no. 2,3 & 4. I think I know which roo that is but not positive. he would blend into my flock for sure. He is probably my main roo's daddy.

Roosevelt is the chick formerly known as Rose that Cetawin was going to pick up on her trip. Well, Miss Nugget isn't quite ready to stop playing mama so he is still here. He is up for rehoming in our auction section, free since he is a cross. Tiny has us trained very well, as Cetawin will tell you. She is so rotten, she smells, LOL.
