I think the best thing I can do is head back to Redding, put on my super hero cape (just washed it) and jump in and boldly help.

It makes no sense sitting here on my damn computer.

Be safe, help where you can... If you are allowed onto your property, can you take water to set out for your critters and make sure they all have free range? You may have already done that but I do not follow Twitter, my info might be limited.
We're hoping for the best for you and your critters and everyone impacted by this awful fire.

It was absolutely amazing, and it's a story that has lifted up others, too. The good news stories are hard to come by right now. They broke a window to get inside our home. If the house survives, Liberty Mutual will repair or replace the door, and we don't care about vandals.

Please continue to pray for my flock. They're totally exposed to predators now, but they also have the deep, refrigerated shade under the deck from the crazy heat and a fighting chance should the fire jump across Placer.
