Pics
Hello! I have some new pics.

(please prepare for the long string of photos bellow)

The turkey vultures are back just in time for the snow. I'm sure they were thrilled  . These big birds took extra long to sun themselves before they left.

These are amazing! I try to take pics of wild birds, but the branches always get in the way :p

Took the fly rod to my parents pond this afternoon and caught a few bass. Right before dark I heard the geese coming in to land. I stood next to a bush and they flew right over me. When they did I heard the deep whistle of drake mallard. Sure enough it was 3 geese and a mallard. I've only seen the geese and one wood duck in their pond. The sun had already set behind the trees so the light was poor for pictures but I couldn't help myself.

I made my way back to the truck, grabbed my camera and a camo shirt and snuck down to the edge of the pond. Of coarse they had swam to the other side and further down by then. I got my camera down about 6" off the water and grabbed a couple pics. Shutter speed was 1/80th with a 400mm so not ideal, also far away and against the bank so no nice blurry backgrounds. After a few minutes I walked back to the bridge and caught a couple more bass. Then they got back in the water, swam for a minute, and flew off right over me. Figures.... Here's a heavy crop from around 80yds.

I love your pictures! I like how that mourning dove looks like it's acting innocent despite the fact that it just relieved itself on the railing  !
Sadly the house finches around my house refuse to let me get close enough for a photo, but your pic turned out beautiful with the red/green contrast. I also have a growing obsession with pigeons. People are like "Hey! Look at that store!" And I'm like, "No! Look at the PIGEONS on the store!"
Also, what type of gull is that? The only ones we have around here are the ring-billed.
Lastly, this is my best quail picture, I got it a couple days ago. Your's is very nice; I can tell that it's a quail... unlike in this:

I agree. It seems that they don’t really fly much, but they run crazy fast.
