So my egg started hatching yesterday, and it hasn't moved or done anything in a while. It made a hole, and then all together stopped. I thought it was just tired, but now its been a while.Does this mean its dead?

What are you incubating, chicken, duck…? Sometimes chicks pip a hole in the shell and then stay like that for up to 18+ hours before progressing. Ducklings can take up to 1-2 days or more. Hatching is a long, slow process

The chick ended up not making it, but I am still waiting on five others to pip. They came in the mail cold, so I heard that they might be late comers if they arrive cold.
