Yes a heating pad may help. I’m sorry if I’m scaring you but those duckling need to be kept warm at their age. I just don’t want you to be heartbroken.

is that safe? i know ducklings are extremely messy and wouldn’t want them to get hurt if they accidentally spill something onto the heating pad?is There a heating pad in the house? You might be able to get away with that to keep them warm by wrapping a heating pad in a towel and putting it in the brooder if you put it far FAR away from all water. If they won’t let you bring them in.
that’s why we had the heat lamp, normally we could just go and buy another one but we really can’t be leaving the house much until coronavirus gets better (i can’t even go to school until end of april/early may). i’ll see if my dad can go to tractor supply again after work and get a new heat lamp but that wouldn’t be until tomorrow nightYes a heating pad may help. wouldn’t duck poop get all over? You can put the babies in the bathtub. I used pee pads with a towel over it. Until they are fully feathered they need to be kept warm.
will they survive one night in that temperature? If you don't have anyother source of heat for them other than the heating pad. you will have to use that tonight if you cant get them in the house. otherwise you risk them getting sick or freezing. They don't have enough down or feathers to survive that type of temp. look at the thread that @21hens-incharge posted many people have used heating pads safely with ducks before.
Worse case order a heat lamp on line. Then you don't have to go out to get it. The ducklings need heat still, but they have to have something to get them through until a heat lamp arrives.
ok so my ducks are in the pond, it’s too dark to go and try to catch them. it’s 32° now and has been for 2 hours. (it’s 8pm right now) and in 2 hours it’ll go down to 28° until 11pm. it’s a pretty big pond, will it freeze and the ducks will have no predator escape? also we have the babies out in the garage (they are a couple weeks old) and is it too cold for them, do i need to bring them in?
