We have 2 ducks that we got from tractor supply co. We have a female ruen duck and a male pekin duck who has currently developed a drake curl they are about the same age and I was wondering if they could make ducklings.

Not all females go broody, but once they are both mature and she’s been laying for a month most of your eggs should be fertile. If you want ducklings (since your ducks are young) an incubator may be your best bet. If you wait until breeding season next summer your female will be a bit older and may be more likely to go broody. Keep in mind (when you decide on ducklings) that they take a whole month to hatch and almost another 2 months before they can tolerate freezing temps... plan your timing well with your weather if possible![]()
