I have one EE pullet with a classic pea comb (she looked very butch as a chick) and red ears -- she lays blue-green eggs with the smoothest shells I've ever seen (almost like glass). The other two pullets have the foldy pea-single blend comb and white ears; one of them lays sage green eggs and the other lays sky blue. They all started laying at different ages and have different habits. The one thing they do have in common is that they lay BIG eggs. They started off with a decent size for a pullet and then shifted rapidly to a large.
I just don't think there is any way to guess what you're going to get when you don't know what is in their background.
