"Ah, yes, that's a good one. You're doing a good job!" Clucked Tan, stirring the soup.

Soon, a long length of twine had been shaped, doubled back on itself several time across the flat expanse of rock. "it's ready!" Red announced, tying one end to the winch and the other to the water pipe.

"Okay! It's time to start turning and see if it works!"

Red cranked the handle, and the pipe slowly began to coil downwards, starting the flow of fresh water. "it's marvellous technology," she murmured. "Could be used for lots of things."

( Red used Hydropower for lots of stuff, too. )

(As in hydraulics or the force of flowing water to generate electricity?

"We could use this water for something, like powering a turbine of sorts."

( Mostly watermill-like things for use in grinding, carving, ventilation fans, cutting, sawing, sewers flow and lots more. )

"We could. But that'll take some time. Lets eat in the meanwhile."

"Good idea." Red hadn't noticed her stomach was starting to rumble. But as she sat down at the "table", a large round stone, she was already carving a little wheel out of a block of wood, intent on the idea of hydropower.

( maybe! )

Tan served up the stew and started eating, too.

Red chewed a little on her food, while Fort dug in like she hadn't eaten for weeks. Finally, Red's wheel was done. "Good for crushing and sorting wheat, no?"

Tan ate at a calm pace, neither rushed, nor bored. She them went on to her preening. "And many other things too."

Fort jumped into her mound of dust, eager to get back to cleaning her feathers. "I feel like I've got grit all through them," she intoned, murmuring.
Red cocked her head. "And cutting too, I suppose, but what would we want to cut?"
