Fort's dropping feathers caught like velcro on the little twiggy parts of the branches. She grimaced in pain as more were torn out from her skin. "Ow. I'm going to be bald soon."

Another tree crashed down on top of this one... Its huge trunk almost collapsed their cavern in the branches, but came to a halt half a foot off the ground.

Suddenly, the roaring intensified and, amidst a crashing down of trees so large in number that most of the light had been blocked from the hens' cavern, the ground started to crack. Rumble.....

Tan tossed a rock, breaking off the spiny part as a bowel shaped area was created by Tan under the second fallen tree.

Suddenly, the roaring intensified and, amidst a crashing down of trees so large in number that most of the light had been blocked from the hens' cavern, the ground started to crack. Rumble.....

Tan muttered something, and hopped onto the first tree as it made a bridge over the crack in the earth.​

Suddenly, it started to rain dust as bits of broken earth poured through the gaps in the branches. Tan and Fort were soon lost from each others' sights.
The crack began to deepen and widen, and a pained squawk came from somewhere in the pitch darkness.
