Tiny`s widened "Would I? Oh yes please!" She glowed with excitement. "No chicken has ever invited me to forage with them except my sister Bigmamma!"
“Come then!” Sunny led the way through the forest, where they soon saw Xerxes, a huge polish with golden feathers laced in black, was scratching among the deep dirt next to a rotting piece of wood. Sunny scratched up several worms and in turn fed each of her chicks, then offered one to Tiny. Xerxes eyed Tiny, not with disdain, but with gentle kindness. He didn’t say anything but rather simply allowed Tiny to pick off the insects he found for his own family.

(Oster) A black-and-white blur shot out of a bush, pinning Sunny to the ground. "Run, Tiny! I'll distract the kidnappers!" The bantam cockerel stared down at the hen, then looked at Tiny as he realized she was just standing there. "What?" Frosty demanded.

Xerxes was up in a flash, his long spurs hit the sides of the little rooster, enough to scare him, but not to injure. Sunny squawked as the chicks ran for cover under some crab grass.

(Oster) Frosty got pushed and did a sideways leap to the ground. He flared his small hackles at the bigger rooster. He paced back and forth, dipping his head up and down. "Ya wanna go?" he squawked, readying himself to kick these 'kidnapper's' fluffy tails.

Xerxes hackles went up in a huge flare around his face, he did a low growl, and went up in a fly, striking left and right with his spurs. Sunny jumped up, feathers raised, and went to cover her chicks with her wings.

Tiny mainly looked for insects at the edge of the group, but when she found an especially good looking one she brought it to the chicks.

Name: Sunny
Flock: Oster
Age: 2
Gender: female
Rank: Broody
Breed: silver laced polish crested bantam
Description: slim, white feathers with black lacing around edges, large mop of feathers on her head, strong, small
Personality: gentle, kind, compassionate, motherly
Parents: MoonBean (dies of old age) and Silver
Siblings: Shadow and Singing Heart
Mate/crush: mate is Xerxes, same breed but gold laced
Chicks: Peaches, Ginger, and Sunshine
History: One lonely night, Sunny stood alone under her favorite tree. The whispering wind sent shivers through her as the wispy gray clouds covered the silvery moonbean as it fell across her back. Her mother, MoonBeam, came up behind her, startling her.
“My time has come daughter. But I wanted to bless you before I left.”
Anxiously, Sunny sat beside her mother on the warm mossy rock. “I didn’t think it would be so soon. I wanted you to see what would become of me.”
“Oh daughter. I would love to. But I’ll be watching you from above. Now, you shall be the nurturer of new life, bringing it forth on this earth to grow our breed and our pride. Each of your first babies will be beautiful, golden silver, with black lacing. Be proud of them and raise them well, for many more shall come.” With that, MoonBeam got up, and went to see her other children. That evening, she died.
Her family mourned her, but they knew she had always been happy, and would not want them to be sad. So they picked up the pieces of life, and went on.
Sunny had three beautiful chicks, all a golden silver, and she became an excellent broody, just as her mother had promised.
Other: Sunny is a happy carefree hen, adventurous and loves to take her chicks to new places

Frosty blinked stupidly. "...Oh." he muttered, "I thought- oh. I'm dumb." He stared sheepishly at the ground, then looked up again. "Err, sorry 'bout that." He squeaked, quickly glancing over at Sunny, then at the rooster that stood in front of him.
