(He's asking her.)(Nope. I think I might have one that needs parents, though.)
"Hmm," Falcon glanced at Bigmamma. "Does it ever get boring? Foraging, I mean."
"Sometimes it could. But not usually. Plus, it feels good to provide for the flock." Bigmama responded calmly.(He's asking her.)
Singing Heart liked foraging cause it was fun, but she, being a responsible adult, probably would have used Bigmamma's reply. "That it does," she said, which was true enough."Sometimes it could. But not usually. Plus, it feels good to provide for the flock." Bigmama responded calmly.
( oh, ok. I didn't want big drama quite yet, cause my characters aren't all situated into the plot.)
Tiny nodded, darting forward and grabbed a worm, then ripping it into smaller pieces and fed it to the chicks. As the rain stopped, sunny climbed out of her log and began to trot, her chicks following in a ragged peeping line. “If you want to find worms-“ sunny snatched one up, broke it into pieces, and fed it to the chicks, “you have to be quick after the storm.”
(Vaast)Rocky charged through the forest, throwing caution to the wind and not caring about how tired he'd be when they stopped. His hackles were flattened to his neck, comb and wattles flapping around in his face.
*fast forward*
The group slowed gradually to a stop as they neared the darkness of Norra's border. The trees shifted from mostly oak and birch to pine and fir, and less of the sun's light was able to reach the ground. Rocky stopped completely now and stood tall, listening and looking for signs of danger. Seeing none, he crowed loudly. "Let's spread out, boys, see what we can find." He said. "Keep an eye on the sky, too, and if Norta shows up and wants to fight, don't engage them directly, kapeesh?"
"Sometimes it could. But not usually. Plus, it feels good to provide for the flock." Bigmama responded calmly.
(Oster)Singing Heart liked foraging cause it was fun, but she, being a responsible adult, probably would have used Bigmamma's reply. "That it does," she said, which was true enough.
"Well I just took her as a trainee. She will learn to fight. Do you both think you will like fighting?" Singing Heart personally didn't, but she was asking the fledges.(Vaast)
Huckleberry shot Rocky a slightly annoyed look. Who died and made you leader? He shook his wattles, there was no time for petty squabbling.
Heron flew up into a tree, watching the sky. It was hard to see anything through all the leaves, so he flapped onto another, slightly high branch. I still can't see anything...
(Oster)
"Do you ever get to fight?" he asked, glancing around at the clearing. "All Vulture's taught me so far is how to fight grouse."
