Egg incubator and egg turner. Used twice. There is some discoloration in the incubator and needs a bit of cleaning. Both work fine!

Cash only please. Sorry, we cannot deliver. Pick up at our location. Packwaukee is 50 miles North of Madison.

WCC, I know you're looking for one! Great deal & it's a pretty time of year to go for a ride!

Thanks for the pics, H&R!

Yeah WCC experiment on TO's birds first to learn how !!!

Hey, TO, you could have done yourself a favor & had a swap at your place instead of going to Portage-maybe Carol would have bought a bunch of your birds instead. IF you had any to spare, that is.

10 quail in a 13x9?????

Them is some small boiyds. I can't believe you have that many more birds than Jim. Wow! I thought he was the hatching maniac among us.
Aww, Tiki, that is so sad about your chicks.
hugs.gif

Cind, great joke! I love it. Thanks for sharing. I believe I still have that PM with your # but I'd better check. We went down to IL yesterday & they had a sign up saying they were closing hwy 83 south of Mukwonago on Monday. Their timing really stinks.
somad.gif
But if you want to take a ride up on Thurs. or Fri., I'll be here. Otherwise, next week sometime? About how many do you think you need/want? Awww, cute chickies! I love the black one, too bad you can't see him in that pic.
How tame are your peafowl, Jim?

Jodie, nice to have you join us!

I never use white lights with chickens. I'd stick with the heat bulb & just keep it up higher. Your chicks will be fine.
Nice chick pics, H&R. I just love your (Carol's) partridge banties. Those are some hardy little birds. I have a pair that are 9. Those leghorns are good looking birds too. I wish your DS lots of luck in his endeavors.
You sure can tell the crappy weather days around here. Lots of posts! I went out in the chicken yard this morning & almost got stuck. Talk about muddy! And then more rain came through. I know we can use it, but all at once?

Well, better get ready for the game. Go Packers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey Chick we had the red light way up and it was 90 in the coop and the babies were hot....The coop is very soundly built and well insulated maybe too good....Maybe we need to crack a window...What should they be at for temp at 4 weeks?

Been sunny here all day it is clouding up now....go Lions....go Pack

CNN press conference for the hikers that were released from Iranian prison after 2 years.....330 is the time for PC...Bauer is the son of a very good friend of mine....have known him his whole life...So have to go watch!!!

AAHHHH--I have the site all to myself now...LOL--hey FT there is a new contest and you can actually WIN something! I bet you could do it...maybe win it lots of times and then you can give out Golden Feather Memberships to all you WI peeps? Here it is:

No I want you to start doing this instead of that silly add 1 subtract 1 game!
hugs.gif
You might learn something too!

Carol--I am glad that you can help with the surgery...it is the same one that we tried to do a while ago but never got together! He is definitely getting more gimpy. Time to do it now before it gets too cold! Pork chops and sausage would be good. Maybe a package of steaks too. I was REALLY hoping for roasts! I have hamburger, beef sausage and roasts to trade...dont know if there are any steaks left. Oh yeah...lots of liver, tongue and heart too! I hope you get the bator...just what I have from CL--but I paid $50 for mine! Oh yeah...if you get down to CC's and she had a buttload of jars I sure wouldnt mind some myself! Hey, maybe we can do some canning after the bumble surgery! I do have a multi use kitchen ya know!

I hear ya on the getting stuck out there CC! I nearly fell about 4 times. I really dont get how they made these boots I have...the bottoms are full of little tiny squares with circles inside. THey are from The Muck Boot Co. DH got them for me for Christmas--really spendy too! They are the worst boots for traction that I have ever owned! I bought some Yak-Trax to put on the for the ice cause I nearly got a concussion last winter slipping on the ice. I am thinking about puting them on now for the mud!
Every time I was heading out it started to pour...then I was watering and it started again...then the sky was blue! There was even thunder and DH said they were on the lookout for funnel clouds too. It is kind of sunny now...but I think I am going to head to the back room and clean parrot cages-
sickbyc.gif
They really need to be done--maybe I can get rid of some of the fruit flies then. I can rearrange the furniture too because the tortoises seem to be telling me that they are too chilly outside! Poor guys...I suppose the houseplants will be wanting to come in too...I thik DS22 is going to be sharing his bedroom this winter!

I hope you all are enjoying the game...I am enjoying the quiet here! Later! Terri O

ETA: Jodi those babies only need about 75 degrees right now. I believe you start them out at 95 and then subtract 5 for each week older.

Good afternoon all! Just woke up from a 2 1/2 hour nap! Feel much better now, or at least will once I'm totally awake!

CC 15 or 22 would be okay with me... for you folks I'd brave the cold and
duc.gif
not whine about freezing!

lau.gif
DrH you are SOOOOO right about how they will recognize me!

Cind what cute little fuzz balls! Cind when it's COLD COLD, DH warms up car, I run out hop in and go to work. Suffer on the return side by running out and starting the car... wait for car to warm up, drive home, go inside and DO NOT LEAVE the house again until I must go to work again. That's how I deal with winter! In all I generally am out maybe 20-25 days throughtout the winter that are not work related. I'd like to think I'll find some wonderfully warm clothes (CC's has been sending me links to some stuff that sounds just toasty, so I'm very hopeful!) and I'll actually be able to go out and take some pictures, but otherwise I won't be out except as stated above.

so sorry to hear about Casey, he'll be in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Jim, yes you should take pictures! I always had raised bed gardens and they always did wonderful! Can't wait for next year!!! Course the first year is a bear, getting all the sod out and double digging them all... but it's sooo worth it. Going to spend the winter trying to figure out how to keep the deer and other varmits out! DH said a fence, and a moat on the outside, so they are downhill of the jump... wonder what the neighbors would think of that solution
lau.gif
"Look at those crazy neighbors of ours, they are digging a moat... " If that's the solution it might just be easier to bring in the dirt in truckloads instead to plowing it up!

Good heavens I started this yesterday and got interrupted and never made it back... 2nd day of not smoking and I'm more than just a little DISTRACTED and spacey.

Anyway, now have some work to do, will catch up later...
Deb

I want bantam partridge cochins, and calicos. I had a few standard partridge cochins once. I had my mom take care of them while we were in the process of moving and getting a coop built. Her dog killed them all!
