good evening, I see now , wait until the middle of the night to read posts.. I was in bed but could not get to sleep..

I sold 2 muscovy ducks Sat. I still have a dozen left.. they all must go..

I sarted out with a round bator like that.. I still have one around here I think.. they worked very well.. when you take the top off, just do not flip it upside down.. then the heat will stay under the lid.. I paid $25.oo for a Jamesway one like that about 6 years ago..

H&R I am looking for an India Blue peahen.. maybe two of them,, I have two India Blue peacocks, and two cross breed hens.. Then I also have a 10 week old chick that I suspect is a hen..
I set my limit at $35.oo for an adult hen.. Might be unrealistic, but I am patient..

Good Morning Everyone! Dang internal clock is set to go off at 4:20

Been doin it for 3-4 days now. Can't seem to find the buttons to reset it. TO I'm flattered! But I'm not much of a catch. Eventually I would have to have given you a bunch of money and half my stuff.

And I would end up feeding 143 1/2 chickens

I don't know guess I've learned to appreciate the things others do for me and not take it for granted as much as I used to.

Also I don't expect anything now so when they do stuff it's always really nice! Still having a hard time with people that tell me that their going to do something and then don't. But I should look in the mirror more often on that.

Cind hope your sinuses are better today! That's a miserable thing too. L has to take something every morning for hers. WCc nice score on the bator! H&R very pretty birds! I'm always amazed at the all the work you and your DH do under the gun. Always a deadline to meet. Jim hope you had your finger on the scroll when you typed about looking for a wife.

You've obviously got a good one in Annie! Had to get a fire going this morning, a little chilly in here. 30* outside. Poor Peatwo lost the last of his tail feathers yesterday, looks really wrong!

And no eggs in the nests!

Have to reset the traps in the coop today between them and the chickens 5 less mice in there now but heard another one yesterday. Will clean the coop today and get that on the garden and I could have tilled it but some dummy dumped the last of the gas in the tractor with the expectation of filling all of the cans. YESTERDAY!!!

Guess the garden isn't going anywhere and we have indian summer next week.

WOW everyone must be finally sleepin. Wish I was but things to do. Weathers too nice not to take advantage of it. Well got the roast started and things snowballed from there. OOOO some of SIS's and Bigz's beer bread would go really good with that oh there's leftover egg wash might as well make up some scrambled for b'fast tomorrow. Good thing I just typed that it made me go check em they're done. Hmmm now there's another pile of dishes.......

Have to share, I am so excited!!! Going to do a Trash the Dress photo shoot with my sis on Tuesday!!!!! Going to try out High Cliff park (but I am trying to sweet talk my sis into going to Cave Point County Park in Door County too......). Of course we will not be using our real wedding dresses; since it is the Halloween season I picked up two dresses for us at Goodwill for $25 and $30. SWEET!!!!

I'll get pictures posted on here when they are processed so you can all see what we managed to get.

I am so happy I have a friend who is willing to do this for nothing (but I plan on giving him an editing software package for his troubles).

Anyway, we had homecoming here last night so we are all pretty pooped here. Good thing the girl had a good time!

Off to find some brekky.

Good morning everyone! I really wanted to sleep in again today...DH's phone rang at 7 AM! IT was our DD19 who is riding in a show today for Madison. She said they were the third class...DH had to get up right away and get ready...I opted not to go! (actually I wanted to go back to sleep and have the coffee all to myself when I got up!) So I drifted off and the dang dog started barking!!! Got up and found out that he didnt want to go outside, he was barking at the collie that was sleeping in the kennel that HE wanted to go in! As long as I was up I got them out and in and fed and out and....yeah, once I am up EVERYONE thinks they need feeding. Ten cats milling around your legs meowing like they havent eaten for 12 days instead of 12 hours, does not a peaceful morning make!

So remember when we were talking about house cats? Yup, mine are mostly OLD so as they go I am swearing that I am not replacing them...can someone please hold me to this? THe most cats I want is 3. Maybe I should say none...cat math is just as bad as chicken math for those susceptible.

Yes DrH--quite chilly in here this AM too...30 outside according to the computer and 36 on the thermometer on the porch. We did not get frost! I checked the plants when I headed out with the dogs and the Zucchini leaves looked droopy on the edges but I figured it was because of all the moisture on them. The peppers and tomatoes are fine! I did cover the basil and the tom plant that Carol brought over for me...the houseplants need to come in today...my son will be losing his room--I am turning it into a jungle. I dont know how to get "the hernia plant" up the stairs so I think it will reside in the LR. There goes any space I though I had...it also means that I need to get off of this computer and clear out a path for the hand truck to bring it in. I am not going to let DH carry it up the steps this year! I had my son and his friend carry it out last spring and man did they do some cussin'! The temp is rapidly rising though 48 now...
I sure was glad to cross of a few things on the list yesterday...the best thing is that I FOUND my long lost staple gun! Yup, it was right where I left it! I went out to fix the electric fence and there it was sitting right on the aluminum steps that we use for a mounting platform. Tucked up in it's little box just waiting for me to see it!

So that brings to to the point that I can put the plastic up on the porch and get the windows to the house weatherstripped. It really helps keep down
the winter drafts in this old place...BBBRRRR!
So I am up to 39 quail with 5 more days until the very last egg is due to hatch. I think these guys will be sad when I turn off the incubator!

THey will not have a cozy place any more! And I will get my counter back! YEah!

Carol--I did not see the window on the model. I know that those were "the standard" for incubators...my neighbor has one too--if you get it it will probably last you the rest of your life! Those old things were built to last--not htw "planned obsolescence" of today!

Really ticks me off that they make stuff to last x number of years...no wonder the landfills are overflowing! (OK now I really sound old!)
I sent those people a message about the ducks too. THANKS! I know you have an ulterior motive though...you will send me links to get rid of stuff so I have more room to get more stuff that you will also send me links to....

Am I onto you yet?

I just hope it's not the Hmong lady in Watertown...she says she will pay [this] and catch up a bunch so you do; then she comes over and looks and takes 1 or 2 and says they are only worth [this]!!!! my buddy down the road and I dont do business with her anymore...I dont think she does computers though so hopefully it is some nice people that want 90 ducks for pets! (and I can supply them too)

good morning,, sunny out there today.. we just finished breakfast and I will be heading out to catch roosters and turkeys.. I might not have to do turkeys, I think we can make the 20 bird quota with roosters alone..

somehow I lost contact with the woman with the call ducks.. when I replied with a definate date and time, she quit posting.
I guess she realized that she didn't really want to part with her ducks..

BL4,, trash the dress ? and while I am at it ETA ?

i heard from my auction friend.. she bought some rabbits for $1/ea.. She said then some bidders showed up and the rabbits were going for $10/ea to $40/ea..

She said there was a few baby peacocks,, sex unknown so she did not bid.. didn't say how much they sold for, either.

I stalled as long as I could, time to go do some mayhem..

I answered that ad for muscovys wanted , too.. I don't think they want to come all the way up Nort' for a dozen ducks , though..

I am thinking of putting my jungle fowl on c-list.. I know a Hmong lady who would take them, but she doesn't ever want to pay anything much..,
