Carol, I've seen pics of nest boxes that were just a bucket tipped on it's side. I guess it might depend on the size of the bucket & the size of the hen.

DH & I went ATVing this weekend, and no, boys, we weren't naked and soapy!

We'd have been arrested then, and that's no way to spend a weekend. I had ordered a helmet but it didn't show up until after we had left.

Had to wear one of DHs. Now that was a Kodak moment, NOT! But it was a great time anyway. Lots of people out enjoying the weather. The weatherman down here thinks we'll be flirting with 80 towards the end of the week. Woo-hoo! Deb will be happy. I wonder where she has been? She can't be in hibernation yet. It's barely fall.

I have to go with Joan to pick up a horse she took down to her trainers, a lady saw him on the internets and wanted her daughter to try him.
Apparently she fell in love with him, but grandparent bought her a different horse this weekend...
SO now he has to come home..

Good Morning Good People! What a day yesterday sooo much done. Glad the weather is holding! So much more to do but man that list is getting shorter. So we're heading nort this weekend don't know if it will Thurs evening or Fri noon. But we're goin! SIS and B glad to hear progress with the eyes is being made! Was thinking the same thing that Jim was about putting pressure on the peepers. Be careful! That IS a really nice buck! Lotso meat there! Got the oil changed on the mower and tractor yesterday. Went to 3 different place for a filter for the tractor. Didn't get one. I know NAPA has them but I don't patronize the one in Nekoosa it's run by 2 brothers and the oldest one PO'd me for the last time a few years back. So many times I've wanted to just slap the crap out of him! A lot of others have said the same thing so it's not just me, this time. Want to get the shelves built today and maybe the lawn mowed so I pull the deck off for the winter. Would like to get the garden tilled too. Oh ya and the AC out of the window. And... As always way more planned than accomplished. Went down Donny's yesterday to check the tire size on that 9N. Same as on my Case so I'll keep the chains from mine and send his chains along with the Case when I sell it. His are in good shape but mine are like brand new. He said when he gets his big Case back he'll sell that Ford to me. Now I have to figure out a spot for all the implements. I know I know what terrible predicament to be in. Better get movin!

Just what is it with those counter jockeys at the car parts places? There is one that I did not drag across the counter a few years ago, and I have regretted it ever since.. the place doesn't exist anymore.. ever wonder why some of those places can't make it go.??

CC, freezer #7 ? I wouldn't know where to plug it in !! Annie never considers overloading a circuit.. She always asks when I am going to unplug my incubators.,,like they are what makes our electric bill so high.. nothing to do with 3 tv on, every light in the house on, 6 freezers, 2 refrigerators. LOL

Wow 7 freezers... that is impressive. Well I think eventually I am going to need to find out about the 4h side of birds... my daughter is so in love with her chickens. Big or small, she is my chicken whisperer.. funny how that works! ( I think it is age 7... right?? Terry O you are active with that right?)

Good morning! I think I shoulda got up at 6 when I was first awake. I told myself if I wasnt asleep by 6:45 I was getting up...I remember seeing 6:39...then I wok up at 5 to 8! I have the weirdest dreams in those 2 hours or so every morning after DH leaves for work! THis time I was in a big city...Chicago maybe, with my kids and we were having some kind of a picnic in a central park on a hill. There was this homeless woman that was walking about with a basket; 90 degrees stooped over, pink raincoat and pink scarf...she was hanging about cause the attendants of the park were opening the trash bins to change the bags. I went to our basket and put some LO stuff in a box and was going to put it into her basket. I looked for her and she was gone so I started to try to find her...then I got lost in this place where you could only walk like State Street in Madison but way bigger (I have been there in my dreams before...still get turned around--seems you just cant learn in dreams!) SO I saw her go into a shop and into it's bathroom. There was a nurse or something in the stall with her and they were doing some medical procedure with tourniquets, needles and gauze. I stood there and watched with my box of food. Lots of blood. So after that I gave her the food and she was very happy, said it would be a good day! I went to try and find my kids back through that shop area and I was driving and got stuck in the little twists and turns with my car, but then it turned into a horse....oh yeah, this goes on and on! So you see, this is why I really should get up right away!
I have no idea why I keep visiting that shopping place...it has brick sidewalks...anyone else been there?

Jim--silly man, dont you know that YOUR stuff takes way more electricity? I wonder if I will be able to get that kind of $$$ from that turkey. I mentioned $25 and she said she probably wouldnt pay that much since she still has to find a hen for a mate for him. She was going to try to get $25 for her Bronze.

I am glad that you and DrH restrained your tempers and didnt commit any crimes on the morons at the parts desk! I dont know if you can have chickens and a laptop in jail or not...prolly not! We have a really arrogant backsidehole that is at our Bumper to Bumper store in town...I would much rather go all the way to Fort to Advance! I always try to be really friendly to him and he is always a jerk to me...right in the middle of being talkative and friendly to the GUY at the counter! Yeah...maybe I could have the cell next to you guys?

Robin--where do you work? Do you own the place that you had to stay? You probably wont have any energy to read everything much less reply after all those hours!
CC-my friend Bonnie that moved way up to THorpe keeps putting all these funny things as her status and I nearly spit at my screen every day! They are sooo funny and I can just see her saying them too! Well, one of those kitties must not think the incubator is warm enough this morning...he is trying to get under my arm and behind me...kind of hard to type that way!

I just heard of the radio that the high is supposed to be 78 to day! Wonder if it will get that high? It is just to keep our blood thin so that when it gets cold it will feel REALLY cold! Poor Deb! I was wondering where she is too...I am missing her pictures!

Nobody can see our lawn from the road.. so the only person I have to please is myself..

the weatherman on the radio said that after this week, we will not see temps in the 70's until spring.. now, that is depressing..eh?

I thought I was not ready for winter last fall,, but this fall is worse.. I hope it does not get exponentially worse with each year I grow older..

Afternoon all,

Had a long post the other nigt for you entetainment but it vanished !!! Still ticked off about that !!! Not getting much done up here lately!!! Need a firecracker shoved up my donkey or something to get me moving !!!

Just got off the phone with the lavender ameraucana breeder in OH that I bought eggs from in the spring. Long story short he owes me eggs but is moving in a few weeks so won't have any until thanksgiving. They would only be lavender splits so I might wait until Feb or so to get pure lavenders. He said he will make it right with me since it has taken so long.

Anywho, the hole in my mouth is still sore, maybe the pain killers are what is causing me to have a negative amoun of energy hey? Any excuse right??

Have so much to do I don't know where to really start !!!

TO I have those vivid dreams if I am woken up then go back to sleep !!! They are really cool. You did a good job describing it !!! Mine are so interesting that if I wake up and am still sleepy I wlll try to go back to sleep so I can keep dreaming. Try taking a vitamin B complex tablet at night. I think you dreams will be even more vivid !!!
Sometimes I wake up and for the life of me don't know if what I just dreamt is real or not !!
The guy at our Car Quest is a neighbor and a real nice guy. The girl at the veterinary clinic in Rhinelander on the other had could land me in jail. I quit going there just because of her.
When my dog go spayed she was going to sell me some ultram for her for pain. I said, I take that myself, what is the dose, she replied, I can't tell you that !!! I said Ok, then I'll buy it. I grabbed the bottle out of her hand, looked at the dosage then gave it back and said never mind !!! B!tch !!! I've tested her several times to see if it was just me or if in fact she was just a know it all B!tch !!! Didn't matter what you said about your dog, their diet, breed etc. She would have to correct you on everything. Like I said I would purposely say something very positive and she would have something negative to add or correct you etc.
Dod She ticked me off !!!!
Anyway, got to go check the silkies, someone wants eggs soon. All of our chickens & Ducks have basically quit laying so we are going to take the opportunity to deworm them.
Which reminds me the horses need to be dewormed too !! Plus their rabie shots, the goats need a booster and the list goes on and on and on !!!

Our Belgian keeps getting out. The fence obviously isn't working. H caught her standing with her head under the top hot wires and over the wire horse fence grazing away the other day.
TG the fence wasn't working !!!


So I asked my sister what day she wanted to go to the horse show, the 15th or 16th and she said the 15th. So glad the bash is on the 22nd so I didn't have to make the choice of where to go. I won't be down there by the 22nd. Can't leave H here to long doing all the chores and working full time too.

Ok, gotta get up some energy and get something done on my list. Yep I have one. Not much crossed off yet though !!
