good morning, I am having a learning experience,,,double....
first I have to learn how to run a computer.. then I get in here and have to learn how to navigate.
for instance, I am typing now. but I don't have a clue how to post this..

everything is new, even my keyboard.. lots of keys I never had before.

OMG OMG OMG !!! I just called the guy with the potbellies !!! It is the same guy who I got the pony from and peafowl. He has these six babies http://wausau.craigslist.org/grd/2822078978.html Plus another litter that is 3 weeks old and another litter just born !!!
I'm going to look at them tomorrow. I asked DH (and I mean Dear this time !!) If I could get one. He said "ONE" !!! lol

Now Porky will have a friend !!!! Yippee !!! They are $50 now, price will go up in spring !!

Anyone else want one, I'll have him hold it for ya !!!

The cat didn't fall for the trap. But he did come back and managed to get trapped in the coop. I hadn't realized what was going on and opened the pop door back up and out he sprung. My dog saw it and was all over him. I may never catch him now.

Hi all-SEVEN eggs today!!!
I have 12 hens-4 of which I know arent laying yet (2 bantys-and havent seen the other 2 even in a box-and are they are only 5 months) that means out of 8 hens-7 laid today..and the 8th one probably is-just didnt today! Im pretty excited-sold 4 dozen last week.

I keep finding a darker colored egg randomly around on the floor-pretty sure its the same hen. Any suggestions how to get them to lay in the box? Will this come with maturity?

Also, pretty funny, I always read on here how they find a fav box and all want to lay in it? Well mine play musical boxes-last night, 6 eggs n 5 diff boxes.

Last night I got a jumbo size egg-twice the size of the others-and 1/3 bigger than the store eggs...Double yolker? OUCH

Thanks for the condolences. It's pretty hard because this was my very first chicken... Ever. I even foolishly named it before it came out. I have another pipped and saw another egg rolling a bit. But now I am not getting excited about a pip. I'm afraid to go look in the incubator to be disappointed. So that might work out better for the chicks!
