lol, yeah everyone that I know from Sauk graduated in or about 97 and and I graduated from WI Heights and we all went to UWW.

Class of 98 here, but I went to HS in Illinois

Good Morning everyone. I finally get some down time lol. DH had a 3 day weekend so of course I was only able to pop in here and there. We went and got his truck Friday in Nekoosa and I somehow managed to turn a 40 minute drive into 2 hours, but coming home I got it right and only took the 40 minutes lol. Now I just need to get a vehicle so we can junk our van. I went to TSC Saturday and got some Chick starter for 50% off, so it was 50 pounds of purina for $8. I also picked up the heat lamp I needed. I have about 8 days left before my delivery my Meyer and 9 dayish for my silkies from Ideal. Oh I also picked up 150' fo fence to make the wun larger. DH was talking to the neighbor down the road and he said he once had 50 chickens so now DH is all for me getting chickens. He's so funny, before that he could care less about the chickens. We took advantage of the nice weather and burned a ton of wood from our colapsed building. I also found a bunch more good wood so not only will I be adding on to the chicken coop but now DH wants me to build a small shed for the yard tools. Well at least it will keep me busy. I guess thats it for now, I hope everyone has a good day

Hey all been busy around here enjoying the nice weather, even contemplated a bike ride the other day, but that went south..... and that's ok 40 seems warm but on a bike at 55 it's pretty cold yet.
Anyway just trying to catch up and stopped to say hello, and catch up, you guys are posting people.....LoL, miss a day or 2 and ya get left behind.... Retreated my chickies Tuesday, so far so good not seeing anything will check again in day or 2.
CHOOKCHICK So where in Northern Iowa? we go thru, Dub. to Maquoketa in June.... and I wouldn't mind a couple wheaten AM, and a Lavender or 2, Would you be able to sex them at that age? I really only need pullets, but a roo would be ok also, cuz Fred has to go soon........... so let me know.......Kim

HAPPY B'day !!! mazo! Thanks for all the well wishes for my aunt! CC you really covered your butt with the DW comment, smart girl! Cute babies too. And congrats on the good hatch Bf4! TO BAD Naughty Dog!!!! More chicks? LOL So much more for so many others but it's gone. The chicks are diggin their new digs but opening the walk in door is terrifying

They'll get used to it. Going to be tough to get good pics now but at least two of them have sprouted muffs TO. Cheeks had the cutest white face before feathering out now it's brown [I think] She is one of the muff kids. Looks really cool! Their going to work on the wireless tower shortly and need to do some other things on the devil web. Later!

lol Are you anywhere near "G" cause I took that south lol and was suppose to be going north. Plus driving the minivan which drives like I have 2 half dead flashlights hanging off the front. The lights are horrible on it. I admit I was completely lost, I've never been out there before and DH wanted to rush out there right after work instead of waiting until Saturday morning. Oh and next time I head in the direction I will 1) not use google maps and 2 ) honk lol .

a Lavender was shrink wrapped!!!

I took my blue maran out of the Brinsea, and put it it n with 5 BCM, and now they're picking on it! School actually called to tell me I should separate them. unfortunately I'm not going to have a separate brooder for that chick... So I pray that things will settle down for the baby...

Good snowy morning! THe flakes are coming down huge! When the plow went by this morning it scared me in my bed! I had heard we might get snow...but they are so often wrong! Well, not this time! LOL! DD25 says it is warm out though so that is good (left my waterhose out yesterday!) Maybe it wont be frozen? I can only hope!
Bigfam--why dont you make a little enclosure for it in the brooder? After a day or so when it gets it's "land legs" it should be fine.
Carol--that person in IO has the right idea to take preorders! Prolly has a huge bator (or 3) and can hatch a BUNCH! Really the way to do it I guess...just the cost of the electricity then!
Cind you just amaze me that you can stay up all night and work on stuff! My eyes are drooping by 9 PM!
NewJoe--I think you will fit in with us just fine!

Little Eli is still alone this morning! Dont know what has happened to the eggs in the bator...I am checking them tonight...they cant be THAT many days behind #1 could they? Good thing I am meeting MLH in an hour!

Seems to me that I better get outside and let out some birdies! Never know how long we will end up talking!

observe the new chick carefully.. are the older ones picking on it ? or are they eating the dried albumen off.. that is normal and it does not hurt the newcomer.. It looks worse than it is..
