I went to a company meeting today where they decided it would be a good idea to put a motivational speaker in front of us. He talked about our subconcious and goals in our life. Also, our life mission statement. We were told to write it. I wonder if anyone else realized they are working a dead end job that will never make them much over minimum wage. And if they had any goals they most likely have to quit their job with this company.

LOL BBP: Always makes you wonder who makes these types of decisions....Money that could be used elsewhere (Maybe to put out for pullets instead of straight runs?)

That straight run thing really gets me going and it shouldn't. At least a few more little rooster lives will be spared a little longer rather than the hatchery killing them.

OK , quickly,, who was looking for Sebastopol goslings.. I know of a possible pair in Cambria.. that is where I bought mine from two years ago.. Original Holderud's stock .. I don't think Holderud's are into geese any more.. I believe these goslings were hatched around Christmas..

Good evening everyone! Made DD26 her "birthday dinner" tonight. Marco-Polo is the name. It is fettuccine noodles with grated swiss, walnuts, green onion, tuna, black olives--this time I added spinach leaves too. I had mine over potatoes....it was good. It is a nice easy thing to make that all my family loves...

So the trip to Milw was uneventful--just like I like my drives to be! The construction wasnt bad at all...the only trouble that I had was finding the way BACK onto the freeway! So here is my new little guy. He is adorable and extremely friendly! He just might become my house chicken !


I really wonder what his story is...one of his wings has been clipped like he was flying out of pens or something. AND he doesnt even have mites! He is so sweet though...I held him the whole time we were standing in the parking lot talking. He never made a peep!

I let the ducks that Carol brought over out today. I then put them into the pen in the barn because the little duck was getting picked on pretty hard! So then there was only one male in there to pick on it. Should be OK now. I saw a hawk out there again today! It was across the street and I think it was carrying a mouse. Maybe it only likes rodents...

Yeah, I wish!

I got two hits on my CL adds today. I am meeting someone tomorrow who is buying duck eggs to hatch. I hope they are fertile! They have been doing quite a bit of fooling around so....the other person wants hatching eggs to try. Maybe the flagging police are taking a break.

Off I go to lock up...I want to read my book a bit tonight...I think it is due soon. I need to go and buy some hay in the next couple of days too...I hope we dont get the snow they are predicting for you guys "Up North!" No thank you!

Yeah what the heck !!! Left this afternoon and it just started to snow and by the time I got home the roads were bad and i felt like i was driving in a snow dome !!!

Remember I said I hope DH left the truck home so I could go get chicken food? Well, he did but when I went out to leave he had LOCKED THE KEYS inside !!!!

So after two hours of calling him with no answer, I finally called the neighbor who works at the sheriffs office and asked her if she had a device to unlock the doors. She didn't but said they get calls all the time and they do it for free, all the time !!!

So I called the non emergency number and they said they were within 5 minutes of my house !!! As the guy walked to the truck he said he had to tell me that there could be damage, I said no problem and that I just erased 10 messages on my DH voice mail, now that could have caused damage !!! LOL

So, my plans for the day got all jazzed up. I spent two hours looking for the spare truck key that I never found. I was digging through my night stand drawer and what a mess. I had put some cough drops in there a while ago and well if you've ever had old cough drops you know they melt and everything in the drawer was gummed up !!!!

Then the neighbor asked if I would pick her up some corn and oats for her cattle. She wanted 600 lbs. I told her I could only get 200lbs for her. My truck was overloaded with what I got for myself and the shocks are old. Made good traction for the ride home though !!!

So the owner of Weasels is an old guy hey? The donkeys running around Weasels gives a new meaning to T & A hey ? lol

There is a bar that burnt down near Post lake last year too. Funny how they rebuilt and it was tripple the size as the old bar !! Makes you wonder hey?

For all you packer fans, the news just announced that Donald Driver will be dancing on Dancing with the Stars. Now we'll see how many of you guys watch. New season starts March 19th Just sayin !! lol

Raim, my little niece's birthday is December 3rd so they are pretty close in age. She is in a 18-24 month size. They didn't pack to many bath toys for the trip so my sister gave her the black plastic big soup serving spoon that you see in the picture !!! Whatever works !!!

TO can I ask how you connected with someone from Chicago ??? That is one lucky Rooster !! Just think of the time and gas between the two of you just to give him a new home !! All roossters should be so lucky !!
I think he should be a house chicken !!! lol

Oh Amy .... I saw Cartman mentioned and thought you guys were talking about South Park! Is that his real name?
I have one of those kids... Just Sunday morning he comes into the living room dripping wet to the elbows... Sure enough... dad goes to check and the toilet seats wet... Then I hear " D@mn it it was filled with p!ss too...!" a pause for a minute then I hear "Sh!t it won't flush! What did he stick in there?!" and then the best "man, I wish I would have known that before I took a piss in there!!! Do you have any plastic gloves?!" nope... I didn't...
Since it was my day to teach Sunday school, he had to deal with it... And HE'S the one who told the boys it's a waste of water to flush every time..... AAAAHHHHH poetic justice.

Hilarious!!! And no, Cartman is NOT his name, just his BYC tag via DrH. He goes by Logan.

Unkadan, that's neat. So who all is left at HRC? I worked there '98-'00; great great times. Visited one day last summer, still miss the horses.
