Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Bf4, hot liquids, hot water bottle for the ear, and painkillers. Eventually the eustacian tube will drain and you will end the infection.

I had ear infections all the time as a kid.... Better to treat yourself than to take the antibiotics! A hot water bottle was my friend for many a night, along with lots of tea during the day.

I've been trying to keep up with reading on & off all day, but CRS.

Bf4 & anyone else, I hope you feel better soon. I think I have yet another sinus infection starting to rear it's ugly head. Now those are getting old.

I can't remember who it was, but please find a way to get that animal abuser turned in. I absolutely hate those kind of people.

Where is Terri? Still recovering from her illness? Please check your e-mail, TO!

Too much chicken drama today. Short story: DH & I took my older chickies out to the carport & put them in with Jack. They enjoyed the freedom to run & Jack loved to have the company, although the oldest one, a roo, was sizing Jack up & trying to take him on. Jack was very tolerant & didn't oblige him. Alice seemed to recognize her babes so we let her in with them, where she proceeded to scratch around for them. It seemed that they remembered her too, amazingly.

I was worried they wouldn't know where to go at night. We have a high roost for Jack in there, but DH put one down lower for them, plus there are 2 rabbit hutches they could jump up into. Well, they are all up on top of the 6' high kennel panels seperating their area from the adults area.

Well, 2 of them are snuggled up against Jack, but the other 5 are on the panels. They better just jump down on the right side in the morning, or they'll be in for a bad day, the little snots.

I'd better get to bed. I have a feeling I'll be getting up pretty early in the morning to check on them. Sweet dreams, all!

I'd be reading the snotty come backs. ****, looks like I need an eye infection to be immune from your humor...:D

Good Morning All! Bf4 hope your ear infection clears up so you can hear and ignore what everyone says to you!

Was surprised at how much snow went away last night. 48* here this morning and saw 56 yesterday. 10 day forecast promises more of this! I was right about the canner jiggler, going to stop at Ace to see if they have one. Called to ask yesterday, usually the personel are pretty good there but not the one I talked to. Gave her the make and the part # she came back 3 times to ask silly ?'s. The last time I talked to her she said they had several types and they had lots of numbers on them.

Told her I'd stop and look myself. Gonna stop there, get chicken feed at TSC, Home Despot for drywall mud, and go to a hairs cutting ceremony. Bf4 if you come over and sand the mud I'll come over and do your painting? The yungins have cabin fever, went out to give them food and water yesterday and 3-4 came bustin out of the appartment only to find that the big girls aren't that fond of them. Didn't take long for them realize that they were safe in there. Talk about broken field runners.

Blackie is gonna be a problem child I see that already.

Better get my stuff done have to be in Rapids at 8.

Went to the town board meeting yesterday about getting chickens...they are going to look into the matter and maybe decide either way at the next ordinance meeting...and the reason why is our well water and only having an acre of land. My water is full of pesticides from the golf course across the street...is the township going to stop the golf course from spraying crap on the fairways...I think not...what's a little poo going to do...not much...

Windy Morning All!!
Man yesterday was one heck of a beautiful day!! Everyone was out and about in the park and I got the whole yard cleaned from the dogs. Today I'm going to clean out the coop under the rabbit cages.
Cali lost two? of the kits. One I found and the other one I could not find so either it was there and hiding really well, or I miss counted. I well, she still has 8. They are some big kits! I took some pics and I'll post one. Anyway, Lucy NZ kindled yesterday. Did the same thing as last time. Built no nest and had her litter all over the cage. I found one alive and put it in her nest and she just freaked. I'm planning on replacing her with another Champagne or Californian.

Well, I've gotta run, Emmitt needs his toe nails trimmed and we've gotta go to the vet. He is the Screamer....this is gonna be fun.....
Later!

Good Morning . I've had a productive couple days. Yestarday I replaced the rear brake line on my own before DH got home, went to Tomah to get plates, returned library books, cleaned most of the house and picked up the yard. Today I got my oldest off to school and went out and got new tires on my truck (it drives SOOOOOO much better now). DH asked me to stop off and pick up a chain for his chainsaw so I stopped by TSC and it's chick days lol so I came home with these. :) I figured we lost 5 chicks so what 2 ducks gonna hurt. lol. I'm not telling him until he notices . Today my goal is to get the laundry done so I better get working on it. I've skipped a few days and now I'm way behind.

Oh does anyone have and tips or tricks on how to figure out what breed or sex these ducks are :)

Good morning to all....I am not dead--yet. Spent yesterday car shopping with DD26. We bought one! She said I was a good bargainer so I needed to come along. She bought a 2006 Pontiac G9. (I think that is what it is called) VERY nice car...RED! I am so jealous. It has all the cool stuff too...did I mention I was jealous? I hope it is a good car for her. She was not thrilled that it is a Pontiac but the price was right. Then I stayed outside and cleaned my car while listening to a story on CD...yep, my battery was dead then! Stupid car. I have to bring a screwdriver out with my because they have the battery all covered up with plastic! I couldnt put the charger on it last night...good think I dont have to go to work today. I do have to get it running though..I am still very sick! I am thinking I need to go to the doc. My throat is still painful--to the point that I can hardly swallow at all...I might have strep...as much as I hate to go on antibiotics I dont think I am shaking this thing!

So much to reply about after missing a day and a half! (and I cant remember a thing--my head is too foggy) I am excited about the photo contest though...I have a couple of those breeds--I will have to see if I can get anything nice today. Free food is always a good thing!

One thing from early on...Jim why do you think that the turner motor doesnt raise the temp in the incubator? When I run my turner I always seem to have to turn it down a bit. I have solved the problem by using the turner in one bator and not in the other. I would think that any motor would generate some heat. I am interested in your opinion. (event though you dont read my posts! Shame on you!

I set the white hen with experimental eggs yesterday.

I know it is a few days early... but I want to see of the new BA is doing his job. I should know by the Foolish hatch if I can steal the eggs out from underneath her to candle them. She is a protective cuss...bloodies my hand every time I reach underneath her. THis is the first time she has gone broody so it is kind of a "double experiment"

CC--check your email...
I have too go out and get that charger on the car...maybe I will be lucky and it will just start?

I have to get stuff done while the meds are working....

Have a great day! Terri O
